Thurgood Marshall Legal Society 36th Annual Awards Banquet

Bracewell LLP was proud to support the 36th Annual Awards Banquet hosted by the Thurgood Marshall Legal Society (TMLS). Held at the Headliners Club on March 31, 2017, the theme of this year’s banquet was “Trailblazers and Innovators: We Stand on the Shoulders of Giants.” This year’s keynote speaker for the event was Ms. Arleas Upton Kea.

TMLS concludes each year with an annual banquet honoring outgoing third-year members who have dedicated their time and efforts to the organization, the African-American legal community, and donors for their distinguished support of TMLS and the community. TMLS also extend invitations to the admitted students in the hopes that they can welcome them into the ranks as a distinguished Texas Law Student.

TMLS is The University of Texas School of Law’s local chapter of the National Black Law Students Association (NBLSA). TMLS strives to provide benefits to its members, the law school, and the community.
