Bracewell Partner Stephen Crain Elected to Executive Committee for the University of Texas School of Law Alumni Association

HOUSTON — Stephen B. Crain, a partner with Bracewell & Giuliani LLP, a member of the firm's Management Committee and head of the firm’s energy litigation practice, has been elected to serve a three-year term on the Executive Committee of the University of Texas School of Law Alumni Association.

As the principal governing body of the Law School's alumni organization, the Executive Committee is comprised of a group of alumni that works with Law School staff to shape the Alumni Association. Its members oversee fundraising for annual giving programs, reunion planning, and alumni recognition and outreach activities.

Crain’s practice focuses predominantly on matters arising in the energy industry and disputes involving alleged violations of securities laws. He has jury and non-jury trial experience representing plaintiffs and defendants in state and federal district courts. He has also represented numerous clients in obtaining injunctive relief from state and federal courts; has handled appeals in state appellate courts, the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit, and the United States Supreme Court; and has arbitrated several U.S. and international matters to awards.
