Bracewell Named Finalist for 2018 S&P Global Platts Global Energy Award

New York (September 25, 2018) – S&P Global Platts named Bracewell LLP a finalist for Corporate Deal of the Year at the upcoming Global Energy Awards. The firm is being recognized for its role in the successful closing of the financing and equity arrangements for the construction of the $1.3 billion South Field Energy project, an approximately 1,182 MW combined-cycle natural gas electric generating facility located near Wellsville, Ohio. The Bracewell team represented two affiliates of Advanced Power (AP) — AP Energy Holdings Inc. and South Field Energy LLC — in all aspects of the development and financing of the project, including commercial and regulatory arrangements, project financing and equity placements.

The S&P Global Platts Global Energy Awards recognize corporate and individual innovation, leadership and superior performance throughout the energy industry. Winners of will be announced at a gala in New York City on December 6.
