Bracewell Advised Tallgrass Energy Partners Conflicts Committee in Acquisition of Additional Interest in Rockies Express Pipeline

HOUSTON – Bracewell LLP, a leading law and government relations firm, advised the Conflicts Committee of the Board of Directors of the general partner of Tallgrass Energy Partners, LP (TEP) in its acquisition of an additional 24.99 percent membership interest in Rockies Express Pipeline LLC (REX) from a subsidiary of Tallgrass Development, LP for cash consideration of $400 million. The transaction, which closed on March 31, 2017, increased TEP’s ownership interest in REX to approximately 50 percent.

REX currently owns an approximately 1,712-mile natural gas pipeline spanning from Northwestern Colorado and Southeastern Wyoming to Eastern Ohio, with West-to-East throughput capacity of 1.8 billion cubic feet per day, and East-to-West throughput capacity of 2.6 billion cubic feet per day.
