2018 IAM Patent 1000 Honors Bracewell’s IP Team as “Bastion of Strength” in Technology

Houston – Bracewell LLP’s intellectual property practice was recognized in Texas for patent prosecution, transactions and litigation in the 2018 edition of IAM Patent 1000. The “technology sector is a bastion of strength,” according to the directory. By “placing a great deal of emphasis on intellectual property and patents, the Texas mainstay litigates frequently and winningly, and puts the seal on rewarding transactions for its many A-list clients.”

In addition to recognizing the firm’s IP practice in Texas, IAM Patent 1000 singled out four Bracewell partners for their excellence. In Texas, Alan Albright was ranked for the seventh time in litigation; Janice Z. Davis ranked for the first time in transactions; and Constance Gall Rhebergen was recommended for the seventh-consecutive year in prosecution and transactions. In the state of Washington, Douglas F. Stewart returns to the rankings for the fifth time in litigation.

“Top-drawer litigator” Albright was hailed as a “master of pitch-perfect advocacy.” Davis was recognized for “minister[ing] many lasting technology company marriages,” while Rhebergen was touted as “a dexterous international portfolio manager who caters expertly to the broad needs of the businesses and agencies that she represents.” Stewart was hailed for the “strong leadership” he brings to Bracewell’s IP litigation group.
