Texas Lawyer Names Jason G. Cohen to 2016 List of Lawyers on the Rise

HOUSTON – Bracewell LLP Partner Jason G. Cohen was named to the 2016 list of Lawyers on the Rise by ALM’s Texas Lawyer. Cohen was one of only 20 young lawyers chosen from more than 100 nominations of attorneys 40 years old and under who have established a record of accomplishments in the practice of law and their communities.

Over the last 10 years, Cohen has represented corporate debtors and senior and junior secured creditors in all phases of corporate debt restructurings, including negotiating out-of-court workouts and litigating in-court Chapter 11 bankruptcy cases with assets ranging from $20 million to more than $1 billion. In this capacity, he has often advised parties on debt and equity financing, as well as asset sales.

Cohen was also recently selected by the Beard Group’s Turnarounds & Workouts as one of only 12 attorneys listed as Outstanding Young Restructuring Lawyers for 2016. In addition, he was recognized in 2016 by Euromoney Institutional Investor PLC’s IFLR1000 Financial & Corporate Guide on the list of Rising Stars in Financial Restructuring.

Profiles of the 2016 Lawyers on the Rise will appear in the September issue of Texas Lawyer magazine, and an event honoring their accomplishments will be held at the Belo Mansion in Dallas on September 13, 2016.
