HOUSTON – Bracewell LLP is proud to announce that Houston-based Corporate Partner Emily E. Leitch was named as one of Houston Business Journal’s Women to Watch as part of its inaugural Women Who Mean Business (WWMB) awards. More than 400 guests honored the finalists at the WWMB awards and dinner held at the Hilton Americas-Houston Hotel on May 11, 2016.
Leitch, who was named a Thomson Reuters’ Texas Super Lawyers Rising Star in 2014 and 2015, advises clients on securities matters, corporate finance and general corporate transactions. She serves as co-chair of the Bracewell Women’s Network and has been a valuable contributor to the firm’s inclusion efforts. In 2016, Leitch was elected to membership in the Fellows of the Texas Bar Foundation and was recently selected to be on the Board of Directors of the General Counsel Forum.
The WWMB finalists, chosen in for-profit, nonprofit and women to watch categories from an array of industries, were honored for their career achievement, contribution to company and city success, community involvement, and leadership. A distinguished panel of judges selected 40 finalists from nearly 170 nominations. An overall winner was chosen in each the nonprofit category and the for-profit category from a select group of 25 women, while 15 women were named as women to watch. A special publication featuring all the WWMB finalists will publish in the May 13 edition of the Houston Business Journal.
